Here are some notes from grateful campers at this year’s writing camp. Thanks for joining us and Write On!
Dear Fine Lines,
Thank you for giving me this opportunity to write. I was very excited to come to a writer’s camp. I enjoyed everyone who was here. Thank you for all your hard work and support. I would also like to thank you for noticing my writing; it means a lot to me. Write on!
Your student,
Alivia
Dear Fine Lines,
Thank you for accepting me in camp Fine Lines. I would love to come again. It was so nice to be here. Thank you for having Mrs. Wendy Lundeen for a teacher. I have only known her for one week, but that week has been wonderful, especially club rhymezone.com. I really worked at rhyming, and I love poetry, so I love this website. It’s phenomenal. Write on!
Brianna
Dear Fine Lines,
Thank you for putting so much effort into the 2012 Fine Lines summer camp! I enjoyed the teachers, guest speakers, and metaphors! This camp is an oasis for writers to share their ideas. I understand that organizing guest speakers is like rounding up a herd of scattered sheep; they’re all in different places at different times!
My camp teacher made learning into a cruise ship ride: smooth and comfortable. I loved listening to all the stories, and I appreciate the effort needed to organize this camp!
Sincerely,
Haidyn Sosalla-Bahr
Dear Mr. Metaphor,
Not one less or one more.
Thanks for all you’ve done!
You’ve made me #1.
I really can’t thank you enough.
So instead I won’t buy stuff,
But give you a poem, it’s just for you!
What I’m trying to say is, thank you!
– Owen Morrow
Dear Mr. Metaphor,
Thank you for doing lots of effort on camp “write-on.” I appreciate all that you’ve done to help people get inspired to become writers. Something that helped me was a blind person attended camp write-on. All that you have done with the guest speakers and teachers has pushed my dreams to the limit. I’m pretty sure I’ll come back next year, hungry for more writing.
Sincerely,
Kevin
Dear Fine Lines,
Thank you for creating this wonderful writing camp. Every summer I come, I get so excited. This will be one of my best summer memories. I learned so much about writing and life lessons in this camp. I feel blessed by God because you chose me to go to this camp. I love how I met new people and teachers. Camp makes my day. I wish camp would be longer. I hope I come next year. I love this camp so much!!
Your student,
Esmeralda
Dear Fine Lines,
Writing camp was interesting. The guest speakers taught important lessons that will help in the process of writing my story, which will probably be published before 2020 (if I get a laptop). The way the musicians explained how music is writing without words was a new way of teaching.
